Hospice General Fund

Memorial Hospice General FundHospice of Memorial Hospital assists community members who are dealing with terminal illness, death, and the grief and bereavement process. Hospice is a philosophy of care, recognizing death as the final stage of life, allowing patients to continue living alert and pain free lives. Hospice care treats the person rather than the disease; the care highlights quality rather than quantity of life.

The majority of hospice care in the United States is provided in the home with family members serving as the main hands-on caregivers. Hospice of Memorial Hospital provides patient and family care in a patient’s home or nursing home where the patient is residing, 24-hours a day, 7 days a week.

The Hospice General Fund is used for daily operations, staff education and special projects.
