I worked at Memorial Hospital my Jr. and Sr. years in high school as a nurses aid – 1957 & 1958. I went into nurses training September 1958 at Mercy School of Nursing, Toledo, Ohio, graduating September 2, 1961. I came to work at Memorial Hospital on the 1st floor Medical/Surgical Unit at that time. I worked until August 1962 and then got married and moved away. We moved back to Ohio in 1984 and I started working on the 2nd floor Surgical Unit in the fall of 1985 and worked until November of 1995. I then retired. I am now a volunteer with Golden Threads. I started in 2000. I help clients with Medicare claims and insurance and which drug program they should use.
