Kramer/Heflinger Pediatric Endowment Fund
Funds from the Kramer/Heflinger Pediatric Endowment are available to help seriously ill children who come to Memorial Hospital and have expenses beyond their means.
Children are required to be 12 years old or younger and residents of Sandusky County for at least one year. For a child who is under the age of one, their parents must be residents of Sandusky County for at least one year.
Funds can pay for buying medical equipment and paying for hospital expenses.

In the past, the following children received assistance through the fund:
- In 1989 an 8-1/2 year old boys parents received money from the fund to pay for qualified expenses
- In 1990, a family received help from the fund to pay $6,000 in medical expenses their son incurred for open heart surgery
- In 1991, the fund paid medical bills in the amount of $1,162 for a family with a sick daughter
- Most recently, in February 2008, the fund helped a 2-1/2 year old boy get speech therapy to build up the muscles in his face and tongue so that he could eat and speak properly
