Mobile Meals

Mobile MealsThe source for well-balanced, home-delivered meals, Mobile Meals is a non-profit, home-delivered meal service provided by Memorial Hospital. The meals have been planned and prepared by the Dietary Department of Memorial Hospital from the subscriber's menu selection. The subscriber's physician is contacted to determine the kind of diet the subscriber should have. A typical menu might include: Meat, Potato, Vegetable, Salad, Dessert, and Milk.

Volunteers deliver the hot meals Monday through Friday except for major holidays. The volunteers use their personal cars and operate them at their own expense.

Those who could benefit from these home-delivered meals include:

  • Diabetics
  • Persons who recently had surgery and are unable to shop or cook
  • Family members who are confined to the home and need assistance with maintaining a balanced diet
  • Those whose physician feels they need to be in the Mobile Meals program

Memorial Hospital's Mobile Meals Program Gives BackTo supplement this program, the Auxiliary of Memorial Hospital sponsors the Christmas Greeting Project. Each year, businesses, churches, organizations, and individuals that contribute $10 or more have their names printed on a giant Christmas Card that is sent in the Fremont New Messenger. Contributions are also accepted during the year as memorials.

Service Fees

The cost for the Mobile Meals Service is $2.00 per meal, per day.
