Wilbur has been with Hospice of Memorial Hospital since 2006; Borer joined the team in 2001, and Cenkus in 2011.
According to the NBCHPN Web site, its mission is to “advance quality in the provision of care to patients and families facing life-limiting illnesses through certification of health professionals.”
Vicki Meade, R.N., director of Hospice of Memorial Hospital, thinks these certifications shows her associates’ commitment to their patients. “As practitioners in hospice and palliative care, each of us takes great pride in our expertise and commitment to quality at the end of life – NBCHPN certification requires a demonstration of extensive palliative care and hospice nursing,” she said.
